Our annual spring clothing swap is a fun way to spice up your wardrobe and declutter / let go of what is no longer serving you. All leftovers are donated to a variety of organizations that support Syrian refugees, The Red Door Women's shelter, CAMH Addiction and Mental Health Centre, and The Yonge St Mission homeless shelter. Mens, womens and childrens clothing accepted.
What’s a Clothing Swap? Well, I’m so glad you asked! Students, Energy Exchangers, Teachers, and community members of all ages and genders are invited to bring gently used, clean and wearable clothing, shoes and accessories to the studio for a swap. Our volunteers will help you organize your clothes (usually by type, size, etc), and then you are free to look through the clothing everyone brought.
Please also feel free to bring some snacks to share in the ZenDen!
Is there a limit on what can I take? No! However we encourage respectful discussion if more than one person is interested in a piece of clothing. Aside from that, take anything you wish, there are no limits.
Even if I can’t donate clothing, can I still come? Of course! Bringing donations is encouraged, but not mandatory.
What happens to the clothes left over? The leftover clothes will be donated to local GTA charities such as The Red Door Women’s Shelter, The Clothing Drive (clothing new Canadians who’ve just arrived from Syria), and CAMH. Where we donate will depend on what amounts and types of clothing we end up with.
