Wimmin: queer rock and roll dance party

22:00 - 02:00

 Facebook event page
The Steady Cafe & Bar
1051 Bloor St W, Toronto, Ontario M6H1M4

For the first time since our beloved Holy Oak closed, WIMMIN rides again: a heavy, queer rock n' roll dance party, featuring music by only female and gender-expansive punkers and rockers.

Expect tunes by bands like:

Patti Smith / X-Ray Spex / PJ Harvey / The Cliks / ESG / Hole / Against Me! / Janis Joplin / Betty Davis / G.L.O.S.S. / Slits / Bush Tetras / Thao / The Gossip / Sleater Kinney / Le Tigre / Garbage / L7 / ...and many many more

Attendance is open to everyone, queers to the front. Note that this space is not accessible: the bathroom is down a steep flight of stairs, and navigation can be difficult when the event is at or near capacity. A ramp will be out to bridge the step between the front bar and the back dance space.

A note on safety: this event organizer has zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or harassment of any kind. If you feel unsafe at any point, come talk to me at the DJ booth, or speak to one of the bartenders, and we'll make sure you're safe and deal with the issue immediately.

PYWC, $5 suggested (no one turned away for lack of funds)
