Horseshoe Tavern presents
9PM / 19+
Radiohead’s OK Computer was released in June 1997, and continues to be cited by critics, fans, and musicians as one of the greatest albums of all time. Leading the celebration to mark the 20th anniversary of its release, Canada’s finest Radiohead tribute band, IDIOTEQUE, will perform the entire album note-for-note, track-for-track, plus a selection of other favourites from Radiohead’s huge catalogue.
20 years ago, this album conjured a world fraught with rampant consumerism, social alienation, emotional isolation, and political malaise. Has anything really changed? Radiohead certainly nailed it, predicting much of the mood of the 21st Century. These densely layered, vibey songs will be performed true to studio recordings, and the Horseshoe will be overflowing with joyful nostalgia as we all sing along with our favourite tunes and celebrate the music of Radiohead.
With Idioteque selling out nearly every show they play, best to buy your tickets early for this special one-time event. Diehard Radiohead fans, casual listeners, and simply fans of great musicianship and a great party will be blown away on July 21st!
On a snowy New Years Eve, a group of talented musician friends got together to play their favourite Radiohead songs. Magic ensued, and Idioteque was born. This six piece bravely recreates true to studio versions of the expansive catalogue, including rarities and B-sides. The high energy live show demonstrates passion and meticulous attention to detail.
