The 2017-2018 Learning to Lead workshops begin September 2017, and 5 must be completed by April 30 2018 in order to receive Learning to Lead notation on your CCR (Co-Curricular Record).
Get a head start getting 3 out of the 5 workshops completed by attending our Learning to Lead FULL Day on August 2nd in Hart House’s Debates Room! You have the option to sign up for the whole day (10 AM — 4 PM) or for individual workshops.
» What is Leadership? // 10:45 AM — 12 noon
What does being a leader mean to you? Your definition of leadership arises from your unique experiences, feedback, reflection, role models, theories, and through discovering your passions/goals. This workshop will aid you reflect on your own experiences, previous role models, and feedback, as well as go through leadership models, showcasing the evolution of the idea of leadership.
» Refining Your Skills: Group Dynamics // 1:00 PM — 2:15 PM
To what extent are you analytical, amiable, expressive, a driver? This workshop will help you discover your own working style and how that influences your interactions with others. You will explore group dynamics and reflect on how a better understanding of these topics and improve both your leadership and communication skills to use both at University and beyond.
» Exploring Leadership & Passions // 2:15 PM — 3:30 PM
Are you filling each day with what you’re passionate about? Many people feel like they can’t identify their passions or that they don’t know how to incorporate them into daily life. It’s also possible that you might already be living a life of passion without even recognizing it! Within this workshop, we will investigate where your talents may lie, how these relate in to your passions, and connect these with leadership opportunities within the UofT community.
