«What are you here for? Personality development?»
What happens when you go and live in the country of your roots, and then come back to the country where you were born?
‘Undercover Indian’ tells the true story of a young Indo-Canadian woman, Ankita, who goes to live in India to learn more about her identity. This playful, thought-provoking immersive theatre piece invites you to join Ankita in a yoga class where she reveals, asana by asana, how her experience in India taught her to look at North American culture through a new lens.
Hilariously witty, 'Undercover Indian' is a play about belonging, becoming and the reality of reverse culture shock.
This is a workshop presentation, with a full run scheduled for Fall 2017. Seating is limited, so please arrive early to guarentee entry.
Written and Performed by: Ankita Kumar-Ratta
