Join the Revue Cinema for the second season of our feminist film and panel series, Bechdel Tested! We kick off our sophomore season with an exciting co-presentation with the IFOA: International Festival of Authors. This event will focus on Women in Writing and feature the critically acclaimed Emily Dickinson biopic, A Quiet Passion. Preceding the film will be a panel discussion focusing on women in the literary world, moderated by NOW Magazine's Susan G. Cole with Farzana Doctor, Phoebe Wang, Gwen Benaway, and Jael Richardson, creator of The Festival of Literary Diversity. We'll also have fabulous prizes (deets TBA!), special cocktails by Swan Dive, and mingling with other cinephiles, writers, and feminists!

This event is dedicated to the memory of Sheila Koffman of Another Story Bookshop.
About the film:
Cynthia Nixon delivers a triumphant performance as Emily Dickinson as she personifies the wit, intellectual independence and pathos of the poet whose genius only came to be recognized after her death. Acclaimed British director Terence Davies (House of Mirth, The Deep Blue Sea) exquisitely evokes Dickinson's deep attachment to her close knit family along with the manners, mores and spiritual convictions of her time that she struggled with and transcended in her poetry.
