In the spring of 2018, Roseneath Theatre will be launching the World Premiere of ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls', a new Canadian play by Dave Deveau for grades 4-8. The tour (urban and rural Ontario) is already almost sold out, which is an exciting indication that educators are hungry for quality content and teaching materials on gender identity.
We are delighted to extend an invitation to you or any of your friends, colleagues or family, to attend the first public reading of ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls' on Saturday, November 18th at 2pm at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. The playwright, director, cast and dramaturg will all be present and you will be able to hear a staged reading of the script, followed by an open discussion, moderated by John Paul Kane, a Toronto kindergarten teacher and the co-creator of DragStories TO

We are very excited to hear your feedback and comments on the script as it continues the journey through the development process. We also value your perspectives as we develop the study guide that will support teachers to facilitate positive and constructive conversations and activities in their classrooms before and after the show.
Anyone attending is welcome to bring friends, family and children who are within reach of the recommended age range of the play (grades 4-8). Please do forward to anyone who may wish to attend. We are especially eager to welcome members of the trans and gender queer community and educators who are experienced in this area to this event, as we cherish your feedback and perspectives.
We look forward to seeing you at the reading if you are able to attend.
