Since 2016, the Aga Khan Museum World Music Series has been connecting cultures and inspiring conversations. This season the series continues under a new banner of Global Conversations with the rhythms and sounds of Italy, Israel, Egypt, and beyond.

We are pleased to partner with the Ashkenaz Festival in this presentation of Yemen Blues, one of the most exciting bands to come out of Israel in recent years. Yemen Blues is an explosive combination of Yemeni song and poetry, Jewish music, West African groove, and funk, featuring members from New York City, Uruguay, and Tel Aviv, and innovative compositions by the «ridiculously charismatic» Ravid Kahalani. Yemen Blues is renowned for its “uproarious” performances, and has garnered positive acclaim around the globe.
