We’re extremely excited to announce our first booking of 2018 with our favourite duo in the world, Marvin & Guy. The Toronto debut of these Life and Death mainstays from Italy will be supported by Night Vision, Aleksandar Kojic, and Emperor Tamarin, while Parlour will be brought to life with 3D projection mapping installations. We’re going all out for this one, and can’t wait for you to join us for the ride.
SILO Presents: Marvin & Guy // January 13th
Marvin & Guy (Life and Death, Italy)
With support from:
Aleksandar Kojic b2b Emperor Tamarin
About Marvin & Guy:
«Cowboys from paradise”
These Italians have been riding a wave of success with the launch of their label Life of Marvin, co-owned by Life and Death owner Dj Tennis. Marvin & Guy have been mainstays at Life And Death parties, and their vintage sound — blending elements of rock, disco, funk, and techno — has found its home on esteemed labels such as the aforementioned Life And Death, Correspondant, Hivern Discs, and Permanent Vacation.
To cap off their North American tour and fresh off a big performance at Innervisions/Life And Death's Rakastella party in Miami, Marvin & Guy visit Toronto for the first time on January 13th. Join us as we kick off the new year with our favourite artist before they head back overseas for the launch of a new EP and a new monthly party they’ll be curating in Barcelona.
We’ve chosen the intimate Parlour as our backdrop, and we’ll be bringing the full SILO experience with 3D projection mapping installations and a selection of Toronto’s best local DJs, especially when it comes to this particular forward thinking sound.
Aleksandar Kojic has been championing Marvin & Guy all over town for a while now, while Night Vision, the duo of Pavel and TJ, are dedicated veterans whose versatility and energy are unparalleled. Opening things up and playing b2b with Aleks will be SILO’s Emperor Tamarin.
Location: Parlour (270 Adelaide St. West)
