The West Island of Ontario Place is Toronto’s new destination for all your favourite winter activities. Take a stroll through the West Island to experience our beautiful winter setting and enjoy activities and attractions along the way.

Admission is FREE! (please note tickets must be purchased for Cinesphere screenings)

❄WINTER LIGHT EXHIBITION❄
Experience the creativity and innovation of the 12 illuminated exhibits by local artists that project, shape, transmit, reflect or contain light. The Winter Light theme mimics Ontario’s winter landscape.
Artists include: Andrew Maize and Josh Collins (Duo), Catherine Curran Art, Chris Foster, Codrin Talaba and Jeff Howard (Duo), Jean-Michel Gariepy, Matt Delauriers and Steven Mengin (Group), Kizmet Gabriel, LeuWebb Projects (Alan Webb and Christine Leu), Nuff and Nupanap (Duo), Philip Sutherland and Reanna Niceforo (Duo), Polymétis (Michaela MacLeod and Nicholas Croft), Ryan Longo, Tonya Hart.

❄SYNTHETIC ICE SKATING RINK❄
Set against the stunning landscape of the Lake Ontario shoreline and the West Island, experience skating at Ontario Place this winter! On-site services include skate rentals, skate sharpening, snacks and beverages, and music piped throughout the site.

Friday February 16 6pm – 11pm
Saturday February 17 10am – 11pm
Sunday February 18 10am – 8pm
Monday February 19 10am – 4pm

❄BONFIRE❄
Warm-up at the waterfront with an Ontario Place hosted bonfire located on the north end of Cedar Cove on the West Island, a short jaunt from the skating rink.

Friday February 16 6pm – 11pm
Saturday February 17 6pm – 11pm
Sunday February 18 4pm – 8pm
Monday February 19 12pm – 4pm

Set up to cast a warm glow along the West Island paths and event grounds as you explore the exhibits.

❄FOOD/BEVERAGE❄
Stop by and visit the BeaverTails Mobile GTA food truck for delicious poutine or their famous BeaverTails pastry. We also have a concession located next to the skate shop with light snack and hot/cold drinks.

❄DRESS WARM❄
We encourage all of our guests visiting Ontario Place during the winter months to dress warm, as the waterfront can experience lower temperatures and higher winds at various times. We host a bonfire and offer indoor areas and concessions with warm food and beverages during our open hours.
