Jerelle Jordan Xavier Fisher-Johnson was born in Kitchener, Ontario on March 11th, 1994. He grew up in a small, one-bedroom apartment with his single mother, Kari Fisher. Kari would walk down the halls at night opened Jerelle up to the world of music, introducing his virgin ears to R&B/Soul artists New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe and Boyz II Men at a very young age. Fast forward to high school, Jerelle found himself barely making it to his classes on time because he was listening to music, sometimes even skipping school to write and record.
Jerelle found himself lost in the story telling through music latching on to artists with stories he could relate to such as Drake and Kid Cudi. Artists like Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys were the drive towards his love for entertainment and dance. Jerelle loves writing, and he has been writing poems for most of his younger years then when recording and creating music came into his life he was writing songs day and night. His passion for his dream has taken over his every thought, daydreaming, plotting and constructing new ways to put his emotions and stories into his music. His love for storytelling, R&B and hip-hop have now been driving and influencing his new sound, a deep, emotional, honest cry to those who feel the same pain, sadness, passion that is usually felt as if you were alone. Jerelle says you are not. His love for the sound of the guitar and heavy drums creates a sound and vibe that keeps you both intrigued and surprised as you listen to the stories and relatable lyrics taking you into his mind, thoughts, and heart.
