JOIN US *AGAIN* & CELEBRATE LOCAL QUEER & TRANS BLACK / INDIGENOUS / PEOPLE OF COLOUR FILMMAKERS by catching some of our FREE SHORTS!!!
we're doing it again with ALL NEW SHORTS (not new as in like ouulala brand new but new as in like, not the ones we screened last time, ya feel?). these shorts will ALL feature queer and trans BIPOC in major roles in front of or behind the camera.
i just about burst into glitter last time seeing so many of you enjoy the work of the relentlessly hardworking, mostly young + emerging qtbipoc filmmakers of this community. what made it all the more special is that you had a good enough time to want to do it again so here we are!!!
admission is FREEEE but PWYC donations are encouraged.
(i'm putting this on by myself! you do NOT have to be queer/trans BIPOC to come! just be aware of the space you take up + maybe donate if you can so i can keep doing this? 😁 )
all proceeds will go directly to cover the cost of the venue + additional funds will go directly to the filmmakers.
***ALSO: am currently seeking short film works under 15min by Black / Indigenous / Trans + NB folks so PLEASE hit me up if you'd like to screen your work! [email protected]
or PM me — will be posting a call-out soon for you to share with your networks!***
WHEN: FRIDAY February 16, 7-10PM
WHERE: TRANZAC CLUB, main hall — 292 Brunswick Ave, Toronto
PS. yeah i know it's lunar new year, please msg me/comment if this is a conflict for you and you really want to join! but also it'd be great to provide a space for newcomers/those of us who feel more at home with our Chosen Fam on LNY :) thoughts? comment comment comment!
