Come hear stories of our past and share visions for our future- what has it meant to be Black and Queer in Toronto? How have our communities struggled and mended? How do we continue to access joy and to create spaces in the face of adversity?

Featuring speakers: Beverly Bain (Faculty WGS/UTM), Nik Red (artist and activist, Blockorama Pride and United Steelworkers), and Kevin Lunianga (LGBTQ+ Residence organizer), followed by moderated community discussion by Robin Fraser, Program Coordinator, Sexual & Gender Diversity Office at the University of Toronto.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.


This event is co-presented by the University of Toronto’s Sexual & Gender Diversity Office, Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and the Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office.
