TH1TUR — Chakra Immersion: A Yoga Psychology Training (Thursday April 12, 11 AM to 6 PM)
Chakras are the cornerstone of Yoga Psychology. They are an ancient map detailing the complex relationship between the structural body, endocrine system, human development, emotions, past traumas, the elements and mythology. Learn specific asanas, foods, mudras, mantras + essential oils for each chakra. Identify where specific emotions are held in the body + how to release them. Revitalize the digestive, respiratory, immune + lymphatic systems. Learn to quickly interpret physical symptoms as indicators of deeper, unresolved emotions. Recognize over- or under-active tendencies of each chakra. Incorporate simple, daily lifestyle protocol to maintain balance in each chakra. Understand how family history (ancestral karmas) affects your health + happiness.
FR1TUR — Foundations of Yoga Psychology (Saturday April 14, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
In this workshop, we explore the nature of Self and the structure of the Psyche from both a western (psychological) and eastern (yogic) perspective. An overview of Ayurveda, the doshas and corresponding lifestyle considerations provides a working model for optimizing one’s constitution, clinical assessment and prescriptions for emotional healing. We will outline Swiss psychologist Carl Jung’s concept of the Shadow, the Ego–Self Axis and it’s direct application to yoga and meditation. End with an introduction to Trauma Resolution – a necessary component in any mind-body therapy.
SA3TUR — Cord Cutting + Core Power (Saturday April 14, 1:00 PM — 3:00 PM)
Power is the ability to harness one’s internal forces. Yoga is the science behind this self-mastery and holds practical keys to unlock our infinite potential. Cut cords that bind you to past relationships, wounds or disappointments. When we're stuck in resentment, blame or anger our power (Shakti prana) leaks out – leaving us depleted, depressed and down. Come and Sweat It Out. This invigorating workshop is set to an evocative soundscape and focuses on applied core work and a creative detox sequence to clear and ignite the 3rd chakra and a special cord cutting ritual. Flush out fears, frustration and stagnation. Pull back your power. Leave feeling energized, radiant, free and clear. Build: Clarity. Confidence. Courage.
SU2TUR — Meditation, Mindfulness & Neuroscience (Sunday April 15, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM)
Meditation is perhaps the most accessible yet misunderstood tool of yoga psychology. Let’s demystify meditation, break down various schools of thought, and introduce teachers and clinicians to mindfulness practices that can be adapted to fit your students’ needs. Science meets Spirit
