This is a 2 hour workshop in 4:1 pulley systems, teamwork, and flying 101
We will start with reviewing the basic 4:1 rigging setup, and then theory of pulling. We will progress through technique as both flyer and lifter, building from static to more dynamic movement. We will use hand loop and aerial hoop to begin. Other short apparatuses (shorter line dance trapeze, straps, sling, short silks) could be explored if the participant is willing to bring their own and/or share. You will be both flying and pulling in this workshop. Be prepared to rotate between these two tasks.
Requirements — intermediate to advanced aerial skills and experience. Inversions, transitions and movement between the ground and the air will all be integral pieces of this workshop.
Optional — own apparatus for flying. A single carabiner point will be in use. Gloves to protect your hands while pulling rope can be used. Indoor clean shoes may be worn to prevent sliding.
