Call For Volunteers

Fashion Art Toronto is looking for enthusiastic members to join our Volunteer Team for our 2018 season.

Fashion Art Toronto is an arts & fashion week that celebrates contemporary art + design through runway shows, performances,
fashion films, photography exhibits and art installations. The annual multi-arts event, is held across 5 days this April 17-21, featuring 100 Canadian and International fashion designers and artists and welcoming over 5,000 guests; including buyers, curators, the media, and fashion and art lovers in general.

As a large festival, the production requires the support of dedicated team members with a passion for arts, design and community involvement.

As s a potential volunteer it is important that you are:

· Reliable and able to commit to the shifts and positions you are given
· Available for multiple shifts
· Available for the festival dates April 17 — 21 and for set up dates April 15 and 16

Duties and Responsibilities:

Poster/Flyer Distribution (every weekend in April)
Set Up (setting up the space for art exhibition, staging, design, backstage etc.)
Front of House ( tickets, guest access)
Greeter (greeting, information, seating)
Art Exhibits (monitoring specific art exhibits)
Monitoring Event Space (cleaning, organizing)
Concessions (selling snacks and drink tickets)
Videographer (operate the camera for the runway)
Security (watch doors and other important points of access)
Runners (access to car)
Tear Down (event dismantling)


Working with |FAT| is a lot of fun and this will be my and co-lead’s fourth year as a volunteers. It’s a great way to be part of an exciting event and meet amazing people.
