156 STUDIO RESIDENCY

RESIDENCY DATES: July 2nd — August 2nd, 2018.
The 156 Studio Residency is a free month long residency in support of Toronto-based emerging artists and designers. Spanning a duration of a month, the artist in residence will have 24/7 access to a 6’ x 10’ workspace in the studio area of 156 Studio Projects, located in the heart of Kensington Market. The resident artist will be invited to use the space for the purposes of making new work, continuing current projects or researching future projects. The studio’s lower exhibition space will then be used as a venue to exhibit the work made during the residency or a piece of programming in re...lation to the work made during it.
This residency prioritizes artists that are Indigenous, Black, people of color, women, LGBTQ2+, people with disabilities, and other marginalized communities.

A brief description of your proposed project (max 300 words), including materials and tools you will be working with. This should give us a clear description of your intended project during the residency.
A brief artist statement/bio (max 300 words).
Up to 10 images and/or videos of your previous work.
