The Doug Ford Conservatives have won the 2018 Ontario election and Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal government has been demolished, losing official party status. On the left, the New Democratic party, historically based on the trade unions, won its second best result in history and is now the Official Opposition.
How can we explain these election results and what are the implications for workers and youth in the province? How can we fight back against the cuts and attacks a Ford government promises? One thing is certain, a period of intense class struggle has opened up and there is no time for complacency.
Join us for a presentation and discussion led by Alex Grant, editor of Fightback magazine (marxist.ca), for a socialist analysis on which way forward for workers and youth following the Ontario provincial elections and how to fight Ford.
