Intro to Astrology - 4 Part Series

6 - 27
August
18:00 - 21:00

Astrology is the language of our lives — our triumphs and challenges, our loves and losses. Understanding your birth chart can provide profound piece of mind and a framework for self-reflection. It gives you the tools to make the most out of your characteristics and qualities, and will help you keep up with the Astrology Meme Industrial Complex.

This workshop series is divided into 4 parts to provide a thorough beginner's understanding of planetary placements in the signs and houses that culminates in knowing how to read your birth chart.

The 4 sessions are:
Session 1 — Aug 6 — Signs
Session 2 — Aug 13 — Planets
Session 3 — Aug 20 — Houses
Session 4 — Aug 27 — Chart Synthesis

Interactive workbooks are provided for all sessions.

Due to the intensive nature of the Chart Synthesis class, participants should try to attend all workshop sessions. The workbook will be provided if a class is missed. Due to the amount of information (there's a lot in beginner's astro!) there will only be a brief review during the Chart Synthesis class.

Join us for the first 4 Mondays of August from 6-9pm in the Junction.
The cost of this 4-part series is a sliding scale of $80-$100, payable by e-transfer when registration is confirmed. To foster discussion and feedback, this will be a small workshop of 5 participants. Email [email protected] to register or send a DM through facebook. Please include dietary restrictions when registering, as there will be snacks!

Unfortunately this workshop is not being held in a physically accessible space, there is a flight of stairs at the entrance. If this is a barrier, there is an option to join by skype and receive the workbooks digitally.

This workshop is offered by Laur Kelly, queer, nonbinary, settler mystic and educator in Toronto. They are a graduate of the Canadian Association for Astrological Education with a diploma in Astrological Consulting. As the founder of Uranical, their private counselling practice uses the narrative of astrology as a self-empowerment tool, with a strong focus on self-care and resiliency. Their teaching style rests on a foundation of accessible and trauma-informed principles.
